Seeking 1 million eco citizens to draw or paint on the XO for the Earth by the 2011!  Join us by wearing the XO (with a filled-in O as the Earth) to help create a visible ecological society that shows others that we are honored to take actions to defend our priceless planet.For those of you who have created an ecological lifestyle, wearing the XO encourages others to help the planet too by letting them know that it feels great to give one's love to our priceless biosphere. So get a blue or green pen, paint or a marker, and draw the XO (with a filled-in O) on your clothes, personal belongings and/or skin. There are 3 print page flavors to choose from :: #4 The XO Earth member card print-page #4 has 4 cards on each print page. To make the cards, cut the printed page in quarters. Then fold each quarter in half to create four 2-sided cards. Pick out 1 of the cards for yourself and give rest to others. >> #8 The XO Earth member card print-page #8 has 8 cards on each print page. However, you will have to run the paper through your printer twice -- or use a printer that prints on both sides. This page can also be used to print only the front or the back of the card. >> #10 The XO Earth member card print-page #10 has 10 cards on each print page. However, your printer and browser combo must be capable to do it, and the top and bottom margins need to be set to zero. Internet Explorer does 10-up pretty well. >>  front of card Printing the XO Earth member cards on heavier paper is a classy way to go -- but is not necessary. When XO Earth member cards are printed they will be sharp and in focus -- even if they appear a little blurry in some browsers.  back of card To fit the most cards on a page, set the printing margins to the smallest values possible. Use "Page Setup" and/or "Print Preview" to adjust the margin values. In most cases, the XO Earth member cards will be 3.5 inches wide when printed. This standard business card width fits in wallets. If the cards are not this size when you print them, open the "Print Preview' window and then adjust the scale/percentage to 100%. When adjusting margins, it is easiest to just enter "0" for the "top", "bottom" and "side" margins. The browser and printer will then re-apply the smallest default value available. Printing and giving out black and white versions of the XO Earth member card is fine too! It's more about how they are offered, than whether they are in color or not. We still give out black and white XO Earth member cards at schools and fairs --- they work great. Printing on colored paper is another option. If you want to print an XO Earth member cards in a size that is not listed, contact us and we will create a page for you to print from. The wording and colors on each of the 4 cards varies a little. Carrying and showing others your XO Earth member card is a fun way to encourage others to join you in taking daily eco actions, and it helps empower a visible ecological society.  |
