Imagine.Imagine... hundreds of people put on an XO (with the human as the X, and Earth as the O) to affirm their love for this exquisite planet, and to show their commitment to protect it every day. Imagine... thousands of people who see the eco XO want to wear one too to show their love for this superb planet, and because they want to start doing their share to protect it too.Imagine... millions of people put on the XO to show they have started taking actions every day to help protect this magical planet, and to help build a truely "ecological society". Countless consumers and fans put on the logos of their favorite corporate and sports "teams" that they support. To help manifest the momentum needed to protect our planet's future, we need millions of ecological citizens to put on symbols (such as the XO) and messages in support of *Team Earth*. So get a blue or green ink pen, marker, or needle and thread, and draw or sew the XO (with a human X and Earth O) on your clothes, personal belongings, skin* and/or an XO bracelet to show others that you are proud to be a human (X) loving the Earth (O) with your eco actions. * Ballpoint pens are safe for the skin as they are non-toxic by US law -- see the Ink section. Scope out the great ways to score 1 or more for the biosphere every day at these top notch orgs. • NRDC • Environmental Defense • The Nature Conservancy • Greenpeace • Earth Island Adding eco quotes and the names of your favorite environmental organizations along with the XO makes for a bigger eco buzz. Printing, Cutting & Folding.There are 3 print page flavors to choose from ::#4 The XO Earth member card print-page #4 has 4 cards on each print page. To make the cards, cut the printed page in quarters. Then fold each quarter in half to create four 2-sided cards. Pick out 1 of the cards for yourself and give rest to others. >> #8 The XO Earth member card print-page #8 has 8 cards on each print page. However, you will have to run the paper through your printer twice -- or use a printer that prints on both sides. This page can also be used to print only the front or the back of the card. >> #10 The XO Earth member card print-page #10 has 10 cards on each print page. However, your printer and browser combo must be capable to do it, and the top and bottom margins need to be set to zero. Internet Explorer does 10-up pretty well. >>  Printing the XO Earth member cards on heavier paper is a classy way to go -- but is not necessary. When XO Earth member cards are printed they will be sharp and in focus -- even if they appear a little blurry in some browsers.  To fit the most cards on a page, set the printing margins to the smallest values possible. Use "Page Setup" and/or "Print Preview" to adjust the margin values. In most cases, the XO Earth member cards will be 3.5 inches wide when printed. This standard business card width fits in wallets. If the cards are not this size when you print them, open the "Print Preview' window and then adjust the scale/percentage to 100%. When adjusting margins, it is easiest to just enter "0" for the "top", "bottom" and "side" margins. The browser and printer will then re-apply the smallest default value available. Printing and giving out black and white versions of the XO Earth member card is fine too! It's more about how they are offered, than whether they are in color or not. We still give out black and white XO Earth member cards at schools and fairs --- they work great. Printing on colored paper is another option. If you want to print an XO Earth member cards in a size that is not listed, contact us and we will create a page for you to print from. The wording and colors on each of the 4 cards varies a little. Carrying and showing others your XO Earth member card is a fun way to encourage others to join you in taking daily eco actions, and it helps empower a visible ecological society.  |
