Do an EarthJIVE climate action every day by daring and then dancing for people who promise to take big climate actions.
The EarthJIVE can be done on the street, around and in businesses, in parks, in neighborhoods, in front of your home, or in other public places.
Imagine millions of people doing the EarthJIVE dare and dance every day around the world to slow down the climate monster heatwaves, floods, storms, fires, craziness, crime, inflation and wars.
The dare part of an EarthJIVE is when you challenge people to promise to take big climate actions, or for already taking big climate actions, and offer to thank them with a dance.
The dance part of an EarthJIVE can be subtle and low-key, or big and dramatic. A subtle EarthJIVE dance can be done with a few simple hand and feet movements. A dramatic EarthJIVE dance can be big and graceful, or wild and rowdy.
An EarthJIVE dare and dance can be done solo or with friends and others. People who are watching the dance can be invited to join in.
An EarthJIVE can be done during a march, during a dance in, or a sit in with others. EarthJIVEs can be included in climate actions organized by others if appropriate.
An EarthJIVE dare and dance may include climate action signs, patches and buttons pinned on your clothes, with an Earth flag with a message pinned on it, with banners, flyers, and other props.
Consider messages that call on specific environmental, ecological and climate actions. Also good are messages that invite others to join you in the specific actions that you take.
When a group is doing an EarthJIVE, the dance moves can be choreographed with music.
So an EarthJIVE is about daring, dancing, marching and taking a stand in public, at work and at play to encourage actions that will help protect our planet.
Start doing your EarthJIVE dare and dance every day with friends, bystanders, other teams and organizations to slow down the climate change monster droughts, floods, hurricanes, wildfires, misery, crime, economic stress and conflicts.

A weekend to bend the course of history
In September 2014, heads of state went to New York City for a historic summit on climate change. With our future on the line, we took a weekend to bend the course of history.
In New York City it was an unprecedented climate mobilization – in size, beauty, and impact. This moment was not just about New York or the United States. Heads of state from around the world were there and the global media.
The Demand for Action, Not Words: Take the action necessary to create a world with an economy that works for people and the planet – now. In short, a world safe from the ravages of climate change.
Every Climate March or Earth Jive [dance + talk + march] is about us – the people who are standing up in our communities, to organize, to build power, to confront the power of fossil fuels, and to shift power to a just, safe, peaceful world.
We need to act – together. So help build stronger connections with each other with EarthJIVEs and Climate Marches so we can create a turning point in the fight against climate change.
350.org can help you coordinate outreach, projects and actions related to an EarthJIVE [dance + talk + march]. If you want to help another EarthJIVE, you can share a home city, a skill set, help with its media, or an issue you care about. Various 350 groups can help you communicate and build together, before your EarthJIVE [dance + talk + march] and after.
We encourage you to click on any of the 350.org groups to get involved with a specific project, to sign up to be a neighborhood captain and to empower more Earth Jives and Climate Marches.
